It's very heartwarming when readers contact us to express their views. Congrats, Lin, I believe you have acquired a new fan. This came in my ebox today:
Dear Ms. Schizas,
I just read "Beyond Yesterday", by Lin Holmes. I have to tell you, im
not a reader. When I reed, I tend to lean toward non-fiction. I have to
say, she is a wonderful writer. She kept my attention with her wonderful
understanding of her characters!!
Keep it up, Lin!! She writes from the heart!! I totally enjoy her
writing!!
sincerely,
Rose Oliveri

The readers...their words give us the true picture about the success or failure of our writing skills.
This is my very first year as a PUBLISHED author, and less that two months after my first release
I won an award, had a stellar review from a
NY Times best selling author, and accolades have continued...
But no author realistically expects all things to be rosy..and trust me they haven't been.
Many people do not understand the person that sits at home and pounds the keyboard creating new worlds, new obstacles for characters we hope endear those who will one day read their tales.

"Lazy" is a word that gets bantied about a lot.
"Failure" when your books do not immediately make the ranks of Harry Potter's success.
There is this delusion that writers become overnight millionaires once they get published. NOT even CLOSE to being true. Most writers have no choice but to write AROUND day jobs, but those like myself, who can and do write a lot, do so because we're
disabled...our bodies shutting down on us in ways we hope no one else will ever have to experience.
Rose Oliveri's letter is my gold, but one day...
Today is the first anniversary of my Publisher, Muse It Up Publishing. I'm astounded how we have grown and the avenues our books travel in this the very first year.
Five years from now?
Muse It Up Publishing and it's Young and
Hot wings are exploding. Five years from now those that are determined to reduce us in one manner or another are going to have to bite down on their preciptious words because our
star is going to shine more brightly than the most powerful
nova, and make more noise than any
quasar out there in the vast Universe.
We are rocking the world this year...now we're going to rock the entire universe. You all thought the
Big Bang was something...guess again!
Today and tomorrow, Muse It Up Publishing is celebrating in a way geared towards showing the readers how much they mean to us and always will.
Check us out and enjoy the many
prizes and
SURprises.

One other thing...all my
royalties for the rest of this year are being donated to The Providence House, in Burlington County, New Jersey, a woman's shelter that helps abused women have a safe haven and get the various support systems needed to be
phoenixes
that rise from the ashes of their pasts.
Please help me help them.
Thank you.
